When you hear "French Quarter", you think of New Orleans.  It is an enticing and facinating place attracting interest from travelers world-wide.  In The French Quarter you'll find fabulous cuisine, nightlife, entertainment, amusement, sight seeing, shopping, historic landmarks, colorful streets lined with cafes, wrought iron balconies, the banks of the Mississippi, and the romance and nostalgia that is uniquely New Orleans.

The French Quarter generally lies within Canal, Claiborne, and Esplande Avenues along the Mississippi River.  A partial list of attractions in the area include the Musee Conti Wax Museum, the New Orleans Voodoo Museum, Ripleys Believe It or Not, Steamboat Natchez, New Orleans Paddlewheels, Entergy IMAX Theatre, the New Orleans School of Cooking and Jax Brewery, and New Orleans Pharmacy Museum.

One of highlights of New Orleans is the music and nightlife scene which is particularly prolific in the French Quarter.  Some nightlife entertainment options include Lounge Lizards, House of Blues, Famous Door, Cajun Cabin, One-Eyed Jack's, Preservation Hall,  Fritzel's European Jazz Pub, Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop, Funky Butt, Donna's Bar & Grill, Snug Harbor Jazz Bistro, dba, Blue Nile Music Club, Dragon's Den, Palm Court Jazz Cafe, and Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville.
