The CabildoThe Cabildo Average User Rating: (0 votes, add your vote or comments) Constructed in 1795-99 as the seat of the Spanish municipal government in New Orleans, the Cabildo, with it's impressive colonnade, fan windows and wrought-iron balconies - is now part of the Louisiana State Museum. The Cabildo was the site for the transfer of the Louisiana Purchase in 1803. On the second floor, the museum has a death mask of Napolean on permanent exhibit.
